ESD Global Builds an Online ESD Community for Women Working on the Front Lines of Humanitarian Crise
The ESD Global mentorship program now supports ESD Level 1 Graduates to teach ESD skills online as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic which has put in-person instructor trainings on hold.
Aude Mulliez, ESD Global’s Latin America & Caribbean Regional Program Manager and Refugee Program Manager supports ESD Global Level 1 graduates to equip women in refugee hotspots with Empowerment Self Defense (ESD) skills. This initiative is expanding and currently includes women humanitarian workers as well as community leaders in refugee camps in Greece and the region, coming from 6 different countries.
Nina Milburn, Manager of the Child Protection Unit at Still I Rise is teaching the second 5-part online course for Humanitarian workers stranded during COVID-19, co-facilitating with Negar Tayyar, Director of The Global Whole Being Fund. Aude Mulliez is supervising and mentoring this course as part of the sustainability plan for these innovative programs.
